Spotlight: Dennis Combs

Dennis Combs, associate professor of psychology, presented a research paper at the 2010 Social Cognition Colloquium: “Investigating Social Cognition in Schizophrenia and Autism Spectrum Disorders” in Dallas.
His presentation was titled, “Attention Shaping as a Means to Improve Emotion Perception in Schizophrenia and Impaired Controls.”
Combs holds a Ph.D. and master of science in clinical psychology from Louisiana State University and UT Tyler, respectively.
A licensed psychologist in Texas and Oklahoma as well as a licensed health service provider in psychology, he received a grant to conduct research to develop a new intervention in schizophrenia treatment.
His memberships include Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, American Psychological Association and National Academy of Neuropsychology. |
