Spotlight: Amber Penn

UT Tyler alumna Amber Penn, principal of Fred Douglas Elementary in Jacksonville ISD, had the only two East Texas schools selected as National Blue Ribbon Schools by the Department of Education.

There were 27 schools selected in Texas out of the 8,322 campuses in the state.

Penn holds a M.Ed. in educational administration.
