UT Tyler Adds Fall Ring Ceremony

The UT Tyler Office of Alumni Relations has added another ring ceremony to accommodate fall graduates.

The Fall 2010 Ring Ceremony will be 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9 at the University Center Auditorium.

“Usually there has been only one ceremony per year for students receiving rings that is held in the spring. Due to a number of requests from students graduating in December, alumni relations has added a fall ceremony this year,” said Derrith Bondurant, director of alumni and foundation relations.

Interested students may order their ring Oct. 11 – 14 at the UT Tyler Barnes and Noble Bookstore. UT Tyler students with 60 credit hours or more are eligible to purchase the ring prior to their graduation. Graduate students may order rings with 30 credit hours.

Those who choose to purchase their rings are not required to attend the ceremony.

The Spring 2011 Ring Ceremony will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 3 at the UC Auditorium. Spring order dates are March 8 – 10.
