Spotlight: Nathanael O’Reilly

Dr. Nathanael O’Reilly, assistant professor of English in the Department of Literature and Languages, has published two books during the summer.
Postcolonial Issues in Australian Literature, a collection of essays edited by Dr. O’Reilly, was published by Cambria Press in New York and London. The book contains chapters on Australian literature written by O’Reilly and scholars from Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Japan, the Czech Republic and Spain, including some of the foremost scholars of Postcolonial and Australian literature.
O’Reilly’s first book of poetry, Symptoms of Homesickness, also was published in Australia by Picaro Press. His poetry has been published in journals and anthologies in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, India, Canada, Fiji and New Caledonia.
He serves as co-editor of Fear in Australian Literature and Film, a special issue of Antipodes and the author of numerous journal articles and book chapters on Australian, British, American and Irish literature.
