Spotlight: Rachel Sailor

Dr. Rachel Sailor, assistant professor of art history, served as a guest lecturer earlier this month at the Tyler Museum of Art.
She lectured on “Edward Curtis and the Continuing Relevance of Old Photographs” as part of the museum’s Summer Lecture Series. The series draws from the current TMA exhibition, “The American Indian through the Eyes of Edward S. Curtis.”
Sailor holds a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa. Her research interests include 19-20th century American West photography and American art and culture. |
