Honoring the Teachers

The UT Tyler Regional Collaboratives in Mathematics and Science recently honored area teachers who participated in the math and science mentor program the past three years during its first “Honoring Teacher Mentors” luncheon at the Ornelas Activity Center.

These programs are professional development grants funded through the UT Austin Texas Regional Collaboratives for Excellence in

Science and Mathematics Teaching.

Dr. James Nelson, UT Tyler College of Engineering and Computer Science dean, served as keynote speaker.
