Spirit Squad Seeking New Swoop

The UT Tyler Spirit Squad currently welcomes students to audition for Swoop the mascot.

Any full-time UT Tyler student may audition. No previous cheerleading / mascot experience is necessary.

Interested students may contact Carla Turner, 903.565.5634 or cturner@uttyler.edu, to schedule their audition. Students may also audition at the scheduled cheerleader tryouts at 4 p.m. Monday, May 24 in the UT Tyler Herrington Patriot Center.

Swoop is required to attend all events the university’s dancers and cheerleaders attend, including sporting and community service events.
