UT Tyler News and Information to Hold Student Photo Contest

The UT Tyler Office of News and Information will hold a photography contest for all university students, Beverley Golden, news and information director, announced.

The office will accept entries for the contest “Show Us Your UT Tyler” March 22 – April 2. Contest rules and guidelines may be found at http://www.uttyler.edu/photocontest.

“This will be a great opportunity for student-photographers of all skills to compete together in school spirit and show what UT Tyler means to them in photos,” said Clarence Shackelford, campus photographer and contest coordinator.

Students are encouraged to submit photos in three categories: Campus Life, Academics and Community Service.

“We are constantly impressed by some of the images that we get from students. It’s always interesting to see the UT Tyler experience through their eyes,” he added.

Winners will be announced on the university Web site Friday, April 9, and all winning entries will be featured in the UT Tyler Magazine.
