Helping Haiti

University clinical nursing students held a fundraiser for Haiti Feb. 24 at various campus locations.

The group elected to dedicate their community health course project to honor fallen student nurses who died during the Jan. 12 earthquake.

The project raised funds for Mercy Works and Partners in Health, two nonprofit organizations that have direct ties to UT Tyler and Haiti.

Students also accepted items needed by Mercy Works which will be shipped to Haiti.
