Parent Services Center 2010 Parenting Conference

Noted author and founder of KidWISE Institute, Inc. Paula Statman will serve as speaker for the Parent Services Center annual parenting conference Saturday, March 6, Suzanne Brians, UT Tyler senior lecturer in reading and conference chair, announced. 

“KidWISE: Common Sense Wisdom for Parenting in Today’s World” will be 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church Family Life Center.

Registration before Thursday, Feb. 25 is $15 and late registration is $20. Proof of attendance will be provided and continuing education credit is available for professional counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists and teachers. 

Statman will present practical tools for promoting healthy families. She will focus on how to help children make a safe passage through childhood through adolescence.

Lunch will be provided.

Parent Services Center is a non-profit organization which seeks to provide parents and those who work with children the educational opportunities, resources and support necessary to raise children who can become healthy, contributing members of society.
