Around Campus: University Center
February 10, 2010
Built in 1976, the University Center is a place for students to meet, study, dine and attend campus events.
The renovation project to enhance the building adds an auditorium/theater along the north wall, Barnes and Noble bookstore, new study lounge areas and office spaces for student government and other student-related services and programs. Students, faculty and staff can start enjoying the renovated UC after Spring Break.
Academic advising, career services, student services, student life and leadership and supplemental instruction departments will be housed in the UC. The grand opening ceremony will be announced at a later date.
