Dr. Neil Ford serves as professor of biology within the UT Tyler Department of Biology.

The department offers a master of science degree in biology, master of science in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis in biology, bachelor of science in biology and participates in teacher certification in life sciences, grades 8 – 12, and the science component for certifications in early childhood through 8th grade.

Students have opportunities to gain an appreciation of the biological world, develop an inquisitive nature, to think scientifically, prepare for entry into one of the medical professions, train as a prospective teacher and prepare for advanced study.
