New UT Tyler Writing Center Director Named

Dr. Jennifer Pooler Courtney, assistant professor of English, has been named the new director of the UT Tyler Writing Center.

She replaces Dr. Catherine Ross, associate professor of English, who served as interim director.

Courtney holds a Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Located in UT Tyler Business Building, room 202, the center offers one-on-one tutoring appointments for all UT Tyler students to enhance their writing skills.

Hours are 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Friday and 1 – 5 p.m. Sunday. Students enrolled in online courses or at UT Tyler’s Longview University Center or Palestine Campus are eligible for telephone or e-mail tutoring sessions.
