UT Tyler Helps Make Wish Come True

Through Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas and with the help of the UT Tyler College of Nursing and Health Sciences, 13-year-old Lateria received her wish to become a nurse for the day on Aug. 7.

University nursing faculty, staff and students welcomed Lateria to campus and observed her graduation ceremony, as Dr. Linda Klotz, College of Nursing and Health Sciences dean, presented her with a framed certificate.

As part of her day, Lateria also toured the UT Tyler Braithwaite Building, interacted with the Sim Man models in the college’s nursing skills labs and visited the East Texas Medical Center.
