Department of Health and Kinesiology

Health and kinesiology students study in one of the many departmental labs in the Jean Lancaster Academic Wing of the university’s Louise Herrington Patriot Center.

The UT Tyler Department of Health and Kinesiology offers undergraduate degrees in health, health and kinesiology and kinesiology and graduate degrees in health and kinesiology, kinesiology and clinical exercise physiology. 

The department also is a participating member of the American Council on Exercise's Educational Partnership Program. As part of the partnership, the curriculum prepares students to sit for the American Council on Exercise’s Personal Training Certification Exam. This partnership gives students the significant competitive advantage they deserve for professional/graduate school applications and job placement.
