Dr. Stephen E. Daniels has been at UT Tyler since 1976. His main teaching responsibilities include the U.S. history survey classes and diplomatic history.

The Department of History offers programs that are designed for careers in a variety of fields, including education, law, the ministry, library and archival work; and government.

History is one of the 10 most popular majors at the university.
