UT Tyler Enhances Food Services with Chick-fil-A Franchise

UT Tyler is bringing a Chick-fil-A restaurant on campus to further enhance food services, Gregg Lassen, UT Tyler vice president for business affairs, announced.

“Based on input from students, faculty and staff, we are upgrading our food service offerings. It is a very popular brand, and we are delighted that we are able to have the opportunity,” Lassen said. 

The location for the new restaurant, which will open October 2009, is the current location of the sports café. That space closed the week of July 13 for renovation work to begin.

“When the UC renovation is complete, a completely refurbished Subway and the grill from the sports café, focusing on burgers, will be featured sometime in the spring,” Lassen added. “Thank you for your patience as we work to improve UT Tyler.”
