Around Campus: RBN Sculpture
June 26, 2009

Dewane Hughes, associate professor of art, recently created an art sculpture for permanent display in the north building of the Ratliff Engineering and Science Complex.
The title of the sculpture is “Contraption: Asleep at the Sermon, Eli Whitney dreams of Hiram Abiff.”
“The composition is based on the Fibonacci Sequence and uses different imagery to reference
physical application of engineering theory,” said Hughes.
