2009 Student Poetry Award Winners

University students receiving awards and cash prizes during the 2009 UT Tyler Student Poetry Awards were:

• Fourth place $25 cash prize: George Mitchell for “Not easily broken, I stand.”
• Third Place $50 cash prize: Caleb Krause for “Dada.”
• Second Place $75 cash prize: Jason Mars for “My America.”
• First Place $100 cash prize: Tina Bausinger for “A Concerned Friend.”

All winners also received a signed copy of the book, Falling to Earth, by Mahan.
