Poetry Contest for UT Tyler Students Underway

As part of National Poetry Month, the UT Tyler Robert R. Muntz Library is holding a poetry contest for university students, Jeanne Pyle, Muntz Library director, announced.

Students may submit up to two poems. All entries must be original unpublished works, no more than 60 lines in length and written in English. Deadline is Friday, April 17.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 28 in the UT Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center Braithwaite Recital Hall. The public ceremony will feature award-winning Texas poet Budd Powell Mahan of Dallas.
