UT Tyler Community Invited to Participate in Habitat for Humanity Build

UT Tyler students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in the university’s efforts to help build a Habitat for Humanity house April 14 – 18, President Rodney Mabry announced.
Volunteers will build the walls of the house on campus between the Ratliff Building South and Ratliff Building North. Once the walls are completed, they will be moved to another location to complete construction.
Shifts are 8 a.m. – noon and 1 – 5 p.m. Those interested in volunteering may sign up in Administration Building, room 345 or call 903.565.5645.
A barbecue to promote the event begins at 11 a.m. April 7 at the Harvey Lake deck.
Habitat for Humanity of Smith County is a Christian housing ministry and one of 1,675 Habitat for Humanity International affiliates. Its mission is to provide safe, decent and affordable shelter to low-income families.
