UT Tyler Math Department

The UT Tyler Department of Mathematics recently held Sonya Kovelevsky Day, an event to encourage local high school female students to pursue careers in mathematically-related fields.

The department is home to nine tenured or tenure-track faculty, three full-time instructors, along with other dedicated adjunct faculty, graduate teaching assistants and a full-time administrative assistant.

All UT Tyler mathematics majors interact with a faculty mentor in a capstone senior seminar project. Several faculty are actively engaged in undergraduate research with the Research Experience for Undergraduates Program.
