UT Tyler Rec Sports Department Welcomes Chauncey Deller

Chauncey Deller has joined the UT Tyler recreational sports department as a recreational program assistant, Bob Hepler, UT Tyler Herrington Patriot Center director and cross country/track coach, announced.

Deller has worked as the university’s head lifeguard and HPC Jim and Bonna Bess Vaughn Recreation and Therapy pool operator since September 2004.

As the new program assistant, he oversees the aquatics sports program and summer swimming camps. He also assists with the UT Tyler Outdoors Adventures by designing new programs and leading clinics and trips. He began his duties March 6.

A 2008 UT Tyler graduate, Deller holds a bachelor of arts in health and kinesiology. He currently is pursuing a master in business administration at UT Tyler.
