UT Tyler Early Recruitment Program

Jodie Calcotte and Tina Beckman recently brought their kindergarten classes from the Palestine Independent School District’s Northside Elementary Childhood Center to UT Tyler for a field trip. Calcotte and Beckman, who are both graduates of UT Tyler’s teacher education program, received a grant from the Target Company.

While at UT Tyler, the students participated in math and literacy activities and visited the Herrington Patriot Center and Riter Bell Tower. Each student received a miniature UT Tyler basketball and pom pom courtesy of the athletics department.
