Flu Shots Available for UT Tyler Students, Community

Flu shots will be administered on the UT Tyler campus for university students, employees – and for the first time this year – employees’ adult dependents and spouses.
Flu shot clinic schedule for campus housing residents:
6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28 at University Pines.
UPDATE: The flu shot clinics for Patriot Village and Ornelas Hall residents have been rescheduled for 6 - 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27 at Ornelas Hall. Patriot Village residents will need come to Ornelas Hall on that date to get their flu shot.
Flu shot clinic schedule for athletes:
6 − 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4 in the athletic training room.
Campuswide flu shot clinic schedule for faculty, staff and students:
8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29 in the University Center, room 118D
8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6 in UC 118D
Students may pay by cash or check. Credit cards are not accepted outside of the University Health Clinic. Employee shots are free again this year and are provided free of charge courtesy of UT Health Science Center at Tyler.
“While the employee shots are free, the dependents and spouses will have to pay $24 per person to receive the inoculation. You do not have to be an active patient at UT Health Science Center at Tyler to be eligible for the dependent/spouse flu shot program,” said Joe Vorsas, human resources director. Dependents and spouses wanting to use Medicare to pay for the flu shot must come to the University Health Clinic to get their shot and must bring their Medicare card and driver’s license.
Flu shots also will be available 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday at the clinic.
