Classes Cancelled Friday Afternoon

Tyler and surrounding communities are facing potentially dangerous weather beginning early Saturday, Sept. 13. Weather conditions may include 75-mile-per-hour winds and heavy rain.
Dr. Peter Fos, UT Tyler provost and vice president for academic affairs, has cancelled all classes at Tyler, Palestine and Longview starting at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12 and all day Saturday, Sept. 13. Students are excused from classes but the campus will remain open until 5 p.m. Friday.
Please monitor the Web site (www.uttyler.edu) for information regarding the status of classes on Monday, Sept. 15.
Students are encouraged to leave campus Friday and return to their permanent residences; however, accommodations will be provided for students who cannot, or do not wish to, leave campus. Please contact David Hill in residence life, 903.566.7028,
