UT Tyler Poetry Awards Ceremony Set for April 29

Award-winning poet and 2007-08 Texas Poet Laureate Larry D. Thomas will serve as keynote speaker during The University of Texas at Tyler Student Poetry Awards Ceremony April 29.

The ceremony begins at 7 p.m. in the UT Tyler R. Don Cowan Fine and Performing Arts Center Braithwaite Recital Hall. A reception and book signing with Thomas will be 6 – 6:45 p.m. in the Braithwaite Lobby.

The event, which will feature the UT Tyler Robert Muntz Library Poetry Contest winners, is made possible in part by a grant from the UT Tyler Friends of the Arts.
