UT Tyler's University Center Renovation Reroutes Pedestrian Traffic

The University Center is closed due to current construction to renovate the facility, Chip Clark, director of facilities planning, construction and operations, announced.

The UC and a portion of parking lot 3 will be unavailable during the completion of the renovation. Alternative parking lots include lots 2, 6, 10 and 15.

The UC addition, known as the UCN, will open Jan. 12 and house The Met dining area as well as a new sports cafe. The entrances to the UCN can be accessed by the following:

From Parking Lot 2 – between the north side of Physical Education Building and current UC.

From Parking Lot 15 – between PHE and Ornelas Hall.

From Riter Bell Tower/Parking Lot 5 – sidewalk between Administration Building and UC.

The UT Tyler Bookstore and Subway eatery have temporarily relocated to the PHE until the renovation is completed.
