Peltier Business Plan Competition Winners Named
Tyler businessman and UT Tyler alumni Mr. Robert Peltier (second from left) presents the winners of the UT Tyler Peltier Business Plan Competition (middle) with the grand prize check of $25,000 April 29. The winners, who were from Harvard University, submitted a business plan for a device that could possibly help women with difficult pregnancies.
Twenty-one business plans from 15 universities were submitted for the competition, and an advisory council composed of area businessmen selected five to present to panel of judges.
A business plan from Southern Methodist University received a $7,500 check for second place, and a business plan from the Univerisity of Arizona received a $5,000 check for third place.
