Collegiate Learning Assessment - Earn $50
The Office of Academic Affairs needs your help and will pay you $50 for 90 minutes of your time to get it.
We have identified 127 native seniors through a random stratified sample who are eligible to participate in the Collegiate Learning Assessment. (A native senior is one who enrolled at UT Tyler as a freshman or who has 9 s.h. or fewer in transfer credits and will graduate Spring, Summer or Fall 2006.) The Collegiate Learning Assessment is a UT System initiative required of all its academic campuses. UT Tyler must have a minimum of 100 seniors participate in the assessment. Details of the assessment and its use may be found in the attached letter that the 127 eligible seniors should have received earlier via your student e-mail address and also through US mail.
If you have already registered to participate in the CLA and have not received a confirmation from our office, please call us at 903-566-7103. If you have not registered for the CLA yet, we strongly encourage you to do so right away. Procedures for registration may be found in the attached letter and registration form. You may provide the registration information to us by just listing it within the body of an e-mail.
Having a minimum of 100 students participate is critical to the comparative analyses that will be done on student performance on the CLA with their scores on the ACT or SAT for admission to college. This will serve as an indicator of the growth in our students as a result of their UT Tyler education. This information will be invaluable to us as we look at ways to improve our academic programs and will allow us to say to the UT System and others that a UT Tyler education is a high quality education – that UT Tyler does make a difference.
Thank you in advance for your participation.
