UT Tyler Patriot Singers to Perform at the White House Dec. 3

The University of Texas at Tyler Patriot Singers will perform at the White House in Washington, D.C. Saturday, Dec. 3 as part of the White House Holiday Open House, President Rodney H. Mabry, announced.

Traditional, sacred and secular holiday favorites will be performed by the Patriot Singers in different areas of the White House for the general public and invited dignitaries.

UT Tyler’s three-year old musical ensemble was selected to perform after submitting audio and DVD tapes, a group resume and recommendations from Congressman Louis Gohmert and Ralph Hall and Senator John Cornyn.

Patriot Singers are: Matt Altman, Tracy Bailey, Dannea Blaylock, Byron Boulter, Austin Caudle, Stephanie Comer, Lucy Crawford, Matthew Einsohn, Jennifer Fuller, Nick Hoenshell, Erin Holt, Tim Holland, Matthew Horn, Elise Leung, Rebekah Ludikhuize, Lyndsey Olivarez and Deidre Springs.

Dr. Mark Johnson, UT Tyler assistant professor of music, serves as director of the Patriot Singers.
