July 7-28, 20 06--traveled to Japan to study the country in all the areas mentioned previously
July 26th--traveled to Yachiyo City and contacted Sister City officials and mayor
--began negotiations with Tokyo Seitoku Unversity to become our sister institution in Japan
Aug-Jan--developed an interdisciplinary course with Jim Emge and Dan Murphree to be taught in the Spring '08 and philosophy course specifically dealing with Kyoto School of Philosophy Keiji Nishitani and his view of nihilism--to be taught in the Fall '07
