Community Bike Program

The UT Tyler Outdoor Adventures Progrma began the UT  Tyler community bike program in the fall of 2011 with 15 bikes donated by Spokes for Folks out of the Dallas area. We currently have 25 community bikes in circulation that are all shapes and sizes but have all been painted blue and have the text “Community Bike” on the top tube just like the attached picture. These bikes are designed to be used by everyone in the campus community and are considered community property. Anyone can ride the bikes around campus and leave it at the nearest bike rack when they need to go inside. This program is to encourage students and staff to use alternative transportation other than cars to get around campus.
