Current Research Projects

1) Follow-up study on Emotion Perception Remediation- This study will develop a more intensive computerized intervention which uses attentional prompts to improve the ability of persons with schizophrenia to recognize emotional expressions. The pilot data for this project has been funded by an R03 grant from NIMH

2) Social Perception and Emotional Processing- This study will examine the role of psychological factors in dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty.

3) Social Cognition and Interaction Training RCT trial. This study is the first Randomized Clinical Trial (RCT) for SCIT and will be conducted at UNC-Chapel Hill with David L. Penn, Ph.D. at the PI. This project is funded by NIMH for 3 years.
