Speech Mission Statement 

Speech Mission

 The Bachelor of Art and Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication offers students training in speech communication using both rhetorical and social science perspectives.

Courses in the program deal with general, organizational, and public advocacy theories and practices. Students are introduced to a variety of theoretical perspectives and competing viewpoints throughout the curriculum and are equipped with the analytical and research tools for understanding and exploring issues in speech communication.

The program is designed to provide students majoring in speech communication with excellent career preparation and for further study in graduate or professional schools.
