Campaign Initiatives
Honors Program Initiative $10,000,000
Providing full, competitive endowed scholarships will help to recruit the best young minds to UT Tyler by offering them a higher level of challenge and rigor inside and outside of the classroom.
Endowed Chairs and Professorships $5,000,000
To help recruit and retain the best faulty by providing endowed Chairs and Professorships, which, in turn, helps attract the best and brightest students.
Endowed Scholarships and Fellowships $5,000,000
UT Tyler’s overriding philosophy is that all potential students deserve an opportunity. Scholarships and fellowships support this simple fact. They help worthy students fund their education and give them access to new and bright opportunities.
Learning Initiative $2,500,000
This initiative represents a bold plan to partner more deeply with independent school districts and youth organizations in East Texas. Through this program, UT Tyler will establish The Institute for Learning to focus on the future of P-12 students in this region.
Fine and Performing Arts Initiative $2,500,000
Great thought requires imagination. UT Tyler is committed to cultivating and inspiring students through the fine and performing arts. A program, such as this, contributes greatly to the community through plays, musicals, concerts, dances, art shows, lectures, and more.
Community Health Initiative $2,500,000
The need for trained community health workers is a crisis today. Much has been discussed about the shortage of many healthcare professionals (e.g., nurses).
Global Study Initiative $2,500,000
The Global Study Initiative is about exposing young people to the vast array of cultures around the world. They learn, first-hand, about people who share the same humanity but approach the same problems from a wholly different perspective.
